I would love to start a group for quitters in the LGBTQ+ community. How would I go about doing that?
Thanks!
https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/groups/lgbt this group is from 10/19. You could check and see if there are still any members or resurrect it.

I have not found groups to be especially helpful on this platform, TBH.
I mean no disrespect but when it comes to the addiction of nicotine does it affect certain groups of people differently?
Are withdraw symptoms different? Are craves different? Would advice be different?
This is just my opinion of The Ex Community is a open accepting community for those who want to quit and remain free from their addiction as some have said "We are all in this together" The agenda of the Ex is to support and help all those who are addicted to nicotine. In a world where people are pushing for inclusiveness why a separate club.

Cousin-Itt yes our research has found that groups have been targeted based on their race or social class or other factors. Also people of certain medical or physiological diagnoses, sexual orientation, race, geographic location, economic status may marginalize them and put them at a disadvantage when it comes to quitting. I actually have another community I manage focused on people quitting who are HIV+.
Perhaps the core advice would not change but understanding their situations, pressures, challenges could be important to their success. I appreciate you’re being inclusive but I also see benefits. Some may not find groups here beneficial while others may find them very valuable.

SisBB as someone else mentioned there is a group. I’d be glad to assist in helping to extend the reach in any way I can. Thanks for stepping up.
