Another two we really enjoyed were Damages and Nashville. We were sorry when we finished all of the episodes. OH, and Big Little Lies.
LOL Looks like I spend all my time in front to the TV. Hubs and I usually do watch each nite, its us old folk's version of "date nite". We try for 1-3 shows or a movie, ones we can discuss and figure out plots and whats next together.
Just trying to help here, with everybody shut in for the duration.
If you didn't watch it when it was on, you might try "Suits." Also liked Grantchester - although it was canceled way too soon. Bosch is good (based on the books by Dan Connelly). Death in Paradise and The Midwife were good, although the main character in Paradise could only stand the tropics for a season or two as the actor seemed to change frequently! I liked Bloodline until the later seasons. I am now rewatching The West Wing - some of it seems familiar, but don't remember that much of it; the writing and acting on it were just so good. I have watched some of The Wire, but it's a little depressing to watch in the evenings (it was filmed in the "projects" in Baltimore!), so I save it for a rainy day Orange is the New Black was good if you can get past the sex scenes in the early shows. There is not so much of that after the first season, and the job done by the actor playing Suzanne was worth the watch (she won an Oscar, I believe). I watched House of Cards until Spacey left. If you didn't watch the Sopranos on TV, it is now available on cable.
I also like American Pickers for something light and easy in these troubling times. It is still on regular TV, but old shows are on Netflix.
Lots to choose from! Enjoy!
Nancy
I just finished rewatching all episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm - I love Larry David.
I recently started watching High Maintenance and West World from the beginning.
I also watch American Pickers
Been watching the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon broadcasting from home with his wife at the camera person and his two daughters running around. It's cute.
Many of the network shows are over for the season.
Missing Bill Maher and Saturday Night Live
I only have cable, so I don't get shows on Netflix, etc.
Bosch is supposed to drop a new season (#6) on the 17th of this month. I'm reading now one of the books that it is supposed to be based on (two were mentioned, I've already read one since I'm a big Michael Connelly fan). It doesn't spoil the series for me to have read the books, since there are two and they get all tied up in each other.
I think I am on something like book 8/9 of the Bosch series and I LOVE them. Think I might need to wait awhile before I won't remember them well enough to watch the shows. Who plays Bosch?
OH and can't forget Ray Donovan... if you have Shotime. If you don't, you might be able to find a free trial subscription thru prime or hulu somewhere, and binge like crazy to get it for free. I think ShoTime runs about $10/mo. subscription, so it might be worth it for the 7 seasons of Ray. I got hooked when Amazon Prime had the first season included on Prime, so I caught a free month Shotime subscription and ended up paying for another month (watching 1 or at most 2 episodes a nite). Cancelled when Ray wasn't renewed for season 8.
Worth the price of admission if only for Jon Voight. totally irreverant about every thing and everybody. Not for the non-pottymouths .
I enjoy watching "Expedition Unknown" on the Discovery Channel. Always someplace and something different
I accidentally watched The Masked Singer after the Super Bowl & got hooked. Been watching past seasons too. I enjoy any show with music so all the talent competition shows. I've been watching Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. The dancing is a bit corny but the singing is pretty good & the storyline is new so I'm enjoying it. I watch New Amsterdam, The Good Doctor, Grey's Anatomy, This is Us, Chicago Fire, Station 19, all the sitcoms on ABC & NBC, The Tonight Show & Late Night with Seth Meyers. Oh & long time viewer of Days of Our Lives & General Hospital but I'm months behind.
If I'm down or want to forget grief I watch America's Funniest Videos. You can watch the same videos over & over & still laugh.
Most everything I watch is regular network tv.
Ok, yeah, I watch a LOT of TV but being in bed most of the time not much else to do.
Karen
