Triggers and Craving

So far I've dealt with my triggers by doing things that I normally wouldn't do like watch a movie I haven't seen or writing to a friend.  If I feel a craving coming on I snack on low calorie snacks that I don't normally eat.  Each day is better.  I think about the work I'm putting in.  I'm tired of starting over.  If I were to smoke a cigarette now all my hard work would be over.  I don't want to start over ever again.

You are doing all the right things. Congratulations. This is what it takes. And you will come to realize that you made the right decision. Take it one day at a time. Let tomorrow take care of itself--just keep succeeding just like you have. Welcome to Ex.

So much of this journey is hard work in the beginning...eventually those other things will become more of a habit and the smoking will be less ... You are doing it...it takes much time, but you will start to feel better...~ Colleen 325 DOF
