If I've gotten your quit date wrong, be sure to update it and then go through the steps to sync it to the community.

Please check your Community Profile to see if you've indicated how many cigarettes on average you smoked per day. Then go to the My Quit Stats tab in your profile to see how many cigarettes you have avoided or put the mouse over your username and then click the little "ex" button in the lower left of the hovercard pop-up.

Yep six years. The addiction as eroded to a tiny spec of nothing--that will stay that way one day at a time.

Benefits of smobriety:

-clear headed and fully aware that I was deeply addicted

-learned and am learning to cope with big and small stuff

-can do anything without smoking--mow the lawn, bake cookies, write a letter, wake up, get out of bed...the list is endless

-saved 18,000 bucks or more

-did not smoke 50,000 plus cigs that I would have had I not quit

-learned that smoking is not the most important thing in my life

That’s right....11 years and still going strong with my FABULOUS quit.  Being free from nicotine is so liberating.  I am proof that this can be done.  Quitting smoking has to be the hardest thing I have had to do.  I tried everything....shots behind the ears, gum, patch, but the only thing that worked for me was cold turkey and the Become an Ex site.  Tough love doesn’t work for everyone, but it sure worked for me.  There was a person on this site that told it exactly like it was...no sugarcoating....and boy that was exactly what I needed to hear.  Whatever works for you, the important thing is to NEVER, and I mean never, take another puff from a cigarette again.  You all can do this, I did and am loving the FREEDOM!  Peace.
