How do I receive the free trial patches to help me QUIT

I don’t know where you are located, but your state should have a quit line.  They will do a phone assessment and usually give you a months supply of patches.  It’s usually a one shot deal.  At least you could see if they help.  There is a national quit line, but I don’t know if they supply patches. Try smokefree.gov.

We do provide nicotine replacement therapy to people who's employer or spouse's employer or health plan provider participates in www.theexprogram.com, at first look you don't appear to be sponsored/referred but sometimes people don't indicate it when they register.  If you're not referred by them then you'll need to call your state quit line (800-QUIT-NOW) to see what they offer in your state.
