Reason for quitting

I was told by my heart dr that I had to be tobacco free for 30 day and be able to give a urine sample for them to test to be able to get a test done for my heart since I was having mini heart attacks. I realized my 3 kids would be with out a mother if I didnt start taking care of myself

Well, you've come to the right place to get support in quitting. Ex is here for you---365. Learn all you can about nicotine addiction (search Ex for topics such as cravings, nicotine addiction etc.) and know that preparation and planning have worked for many.

Welcome to the Ex.  It can be difficult when you're told you have to do anything, but this could be just what you need to start your forever quit.  It's so important to educate yourself about this addiction and prepare for your quit.   Understanding what to expect and knowing that you can do it, make it possible.  Don't know if you want to use an aid such as NRT or Welbutrin, Chantix, etc.  If so, did you discuss did with your doctor?  There's great support here.  I smoked for 50 years and for the first time in my life I'm now smoke free for over a year.  Health reasons have been the motivation for many of us, but you've also got those three children to spend many wonderful years with.  We're here for you.  Reach out if you need help.
