Have you already quit? Chances are if you are like most of us you have been a smoker for most of your adult life. Because of this almost everything is going to be a trigger or an “Insert cigarette here” moment. Quitting is all about attitude, shear determination and stubbornness. If you truly want to quit then you will. Life and all it’s messiness is going to happen whether you smoke or not. Has life been better for us with cigarettes to back us up? If you can honestly say yes, then don’t quit.
We give them so much power over us. They are not magic wands. You will discover, if you are tough enough to ride out this journey that they were actually exasperating situations adding to our stress. You are going to experience all kinds of crazy. Just ride it out. Everything you experience is normal and survivable.

Start by getting rid of anything associated with smoking such as ashtrays, lighter, etc. You can do this if you make up your mind that you can. Relearning your thinking that you do not have to smoke is a good beginning. For a while, you will think about smoking but that does not mean you have to act on it. You can talk yourself out of smoking. No matter what never ever take another puff. NOPE.
