oh my gosh, I just saw an advertise on network T.V. for using a JUUL I'm depressed and cannot believe that this is something that can be advertised like this. My concern is where else is this being advertised.

They're working on it.
FDA restricts e-cigarette sales to curb teen vaping
The good thing is that there is being a much quicker response to it's dangers than we had with tobacco.
I have not seen any ads...our local paper carried a two part series on the number of high school kids using this and also substituting THC (marijuana) for the nicotine. The article said the school is trying to educate teachers and parents to recognize the very subtle smells. One kid's car was searched in the parking lot because his JUUL AND his marijuana pods were in plain sight in the front seat. Enough young people who are now OLD people like ME have been damaged by this addiction, somehow, there has to be a way to stop them. Makes me sick...oh wait, I already AM sick.

So yea, Juul is being marketed as an alternative to cigarettes and calling users successful quitters. The new marketing campaigns are smokers that have tried every way to quit, then a friend recommended Juul and they dont need cigarettes anymore.
And an interesting breed of obstinance is being born of Juul smokers. Where this is the only way to quit and way better for you than cigarettes "only food products and 4 ingredients" glycerol and propylene glycol, nicotine, benzoic acid, and flavorants in the Juul pod. The Juul pod also uses nicotine salts not free-base, which is supposed to be "better". I wonder what they think they are actually quitting?
Each pod contains about as much nicotine as 1 pack of cigarettes. But there is more fun to be had with flavors, pods and smoke clouds for younger folks. I would suspect that a person that would "play" with a Juul would end up taking in way more nicotine messing with the flavors, pods and vape clouds than they ever would with a cigarette. At the end they'll be hooked on the drug all the same IMO.
I see the ads too and they do say it contains nicotine and 'can' be addictive. Can? You betcha. I’m amazed they are to air with the ban on cig advertising. I especially hate they say it’s a better, up to date way iof smoking. Or words to that effect. Did anyone notice there is a new warning on movies now? S for smoking.
I was at Walgreens today and there was a pan handler whose sign said he wanted 5 and 20 dollar bill for gas and cigs and the brand he wanted. I said...dude, no one is going to give you squat with that. I know many use food request money for booze, drugs orr cigs, but you don’t tell people that. His response was.....well, I wanted to be honest. My laugh for the day. I mentioned it to the staff and they ran him off. I’ll give him points for thinking he could pull it off. Took canines to try.
I cannot believe they are doing that. But - it's not like there aren't enough STORES that folks can easily SEE! There must be five in my little village.
I cannot BELIEVE they are allowed to do that - but, then again, they aren't tobacco - so they probably will require separate legislation to ban.....
Crap!
