Upcoming Lung Transplant

Now that it's close to my date for my lung transplant I'm becoming nervous.

But I'm proud of myself for being smoke free for almost two months. I

thought I couldn't do it but now I know I can. Everyone wish me good luck.

And thanks for the support

Congratulations on your 2 months smoke free! I can totally understand being nervous. When is your surgery? You have already proven how tough you are these past 2 months. As in your quit, it is all about your attitude. I am sure there are going to be times that you just feel like crap. You’ve just got to keep up that positivity. You’ve got to believe!!!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you, but you will get better, I just feel it....

I go to orientation on Monday and Tuesday and it will be anytime after then

for up to 16 days. So I have to be ready when they call me. Thank you for

your Incouragement and concern. I can say I have did it and want to let

everyone who's trying to quit can do it. If you start back don't give up

just pick yourself up and try and try again. If you believe it will happen

it will. I hate it got to the point where I need lung surgery before I

decided to quit. But I'm tired of walking around caring a oxygen tank on my

shoulder. I thank god I will be oxygen free.

How exciting to know the wait is almost over!!!!! What a pain in the butt to have to carry one of those oxygen tanks around. This will indeed be life changing for you. Have they said how long you will be in the hospital?

It’s totally understandable you would be nervous.  Surgery is no small thing.  You might want to ask if you can be sedated ASAP.

I wish you more than luck.  I wish you a superior success and recovery.  Congratulations on your 2 months also.

Congrats on being successful with your 2 month quit.  I certainly can understand being nervous.   Any surgery makes you anxious, but not knowing when, would have to cause more anxiety.  But thank goodness that this is an option for you.  Will continue to keep you in my thoughts.

You quit smoking? Then you can do ANYTHING!

I hope the surgery is sooner rather than later - and that it goes smoothly. You will have some recuperating to do, but, hey, you quit smoking - you can do ANYTHING!

Please stay in touch!
