I gave the Chantix a fair try, and while it gave some temporary help, as soon as the 2 boxes were done the smoking went right back to the normal 'habit'. This stinks! Guess there is no easy way to tackle this, but can't seem to find enough personal motivation to really apply myself. I use smoking as my 'reward' system-a break from work, a time out after completing a chore at home, just a way to catch my breath and relax. It doesn't help that I'm 58 and smoking for 42 years! It has become a very personal and integrated part of who I am. Any suggestions?
