Every night my chest starts to hurt. I did read maybe that can happen. Has anyone else here have this happen to you.
Yes, infact I was going to write a post today. About one month my back by my ribs has hurt since quitting. I have had some bad moments breathing. I was using my nebulizer and seemed good a day or so. I could feel fluid in lungs but couldn’t get out. We ordered new nebuluzer thought mine not working and last night I used because I felt asthma attack coming from the snowy dampness ...omg opened my lungs and all night coughing stuff up ( I know gross) but got relief...my point, watch the bad breathing if it continues see your Doctor. I was pushing through and something just wasn’t right. Gotcha in my Thoughts !

Agree that at some point, you need to see your doctor if it doesn't abate.
YES! I had lung pain for awhile...in fact, I asked the same question at day 18!
I have not had this problem.
It could be that as a smoker your diaphram got very tense and spasm. You might try some mindfulness of breathing exercises where the diaphram is stretched. Learn the Diaphragmatic Breathing Technique - YouTube If this pain persists see a doctor, it might not even be a lung thing because ofthe phenomena of reflected pain. But do the exercises above. Your lungs are rehabing from years of abuse. Let me know if these exercises help. Karen almost a year of freedom.
I got so sick that I HAD to quit and it took me a few weeks to get better, my chest was sore from being ill, I didn't think of it in relation to stopping smoking. I had felt chest pain BEFORE I quit, I just denied it. You might try going into the bathroom and running the shower on hot to steam up the room and see if that helps with the pain, it might help you to cough anything up that is in there.
