sweetplt I'm very familiar.......my son lives in Lansdale and some other family in Phoenixville. And I meet friends from college in King of Prussia several times a year.
It’s a small world...I am at my condo in Florida and heading home today. Someday, maybe us two quitters can do lunch. I actually grew up in Lehigh Valley then left with hubs and his career for 25 years. Hubs got transferred to Pa about 4 years ago. I guess we came full circle.

A teeny tiny town in the largest rural county in America. Wells, Nevada in Elko County Nevada. NE corner. As far away from Vegas as you can get. High mountain dessert sitting at 5600 feet. Sage brush and pine trees. The good ole American West with real cows and real cowboys roundin em up.

Lexington, Virginia Home of Washington and Lee University, Virginia Military Institute and Stonewall Jackson's grave. We are a confused town filled with Liberals and people who celebrate MLK Day as Lee/Jackson Day and hold a parade with "flaggers" carrying Confederate flags on one side of town while another group has a Martin Luther King parade, never the twain shall meet. We have a heavy police presence on that day.

My wife and I just visited friends in High Point three weeks ago! We had traveled to Durham to visit our daughter's family for a late Christmas. She's wanting us to move there. NC is a pretty state. After fifty years you must feel like a native.

We just moved ( last year ) to Mans/Ontario Ohio after being in Lucas Ohio for over 30 years...still out in the country and we do have beautiful countryside here. Ohio has MUCH beautiful countryside. Not a city girl at all.

RachelMB Where in NY? I lived between Rochester and Buffalo and we referred to that area as "upstate" until my daughter went to NYU and she was told that the Rochester area was WESTERN NY state and not UPSTATE..who knew?
I lived in Syracuse. Between Rochester and Albany. Brutal winters that I dont miss at all. . My brother went to college in Rochester.

I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Hi, Marilyn!! Sometimes they call us Winterpeg because we have such brutally cold winters. We have an interlake area here which is beautiful, and I've enjoyed many fun times at families cottages.
We aren't eskimos tho, lol. We are the keystone province in Canada.

I live in Yucca Valley CA which is in the high desert above Palm Springs. I’m originally from upstate New York. My sister lives in Hayes VA and I spend 2 weeks with her each year. My mom was from Kennebunk Maine and I spent my summers there as a child and am excited that we will be visiting there for a couple of weeks in July.....
