Coughing

I’m not sure I am posting in the correct forum....just wondering if coughing up phlegm is normal on third day of quit.  Please advise.

Most definitely.  Your body is in the process of cleaning itself.  Good job, keep up the great work.

Cleaning house only, in this case, it is cleaning your lungs, be very grateful that you CAN get that stuff out.  Keep going. Congratulations on three days!

Fascinating... This makes me think of tar in a different viewpoint. Makes more sense why people cough and wonder about coughing after quitting.'

I don't know the truth behind this video but it helps make it feel more real.

Absolutely, I didn't cough much in the beginning, but now in my 4 + month I am starting to "clean out and heal"...so in a weird way I welcome the coughing etc because I know it's WORKING!!

More real indeed.  Visuals are always helpful.

Some people start coughing up phlegm pretty soon after quitting, for some it happens later.  In my case it didn't happen at all.  So we're all different in that regard, but it is definitely not unusual for that to happen.
