Had to post this today on Facebook
That's would be funnier if it weren't true! Quitting smoking does change your metabolism and snacking can get out of control in the early days of your quit.
The good news is that you can work on that AFTER your quit is well in hand....so you can be healthy AND smoke free all at the same time! Won't you just be the BOMB then??!!!!
Take care of your quit first; work on any weight gain second. You can be 100% healthy - in time.
Enjoy the smoke-free life, one morsel at a time. The weight balances out. Focus on the quit, munch on healthy snacks. You will be fine. The best is yet to come.
Was so surprised by the out pouring of support of my friends on Facebook! Another smoke free day in the books. Thanks again to all for love and guidance. Couldn't do it without the EX!! Looking forward to a good walk in the morning!! Tomorrow is another day
I don't think I announced it on Facebook...I told everyone in person though. My weight really did not change much, I DID eat more but I ate mostly GOOD food. I love frozen fruit and I ate a LOT of frozen blueberries and cherries and then jonescarp.aka.dale.Jan_2007 recommended frozen grapes. All of that fruit and other healthy foods produced some rather noxious gas but even THAT has resolved...I am sure there are many people who are grateful for that.
Have a BEAUTIFUL day!
