This was inspired by the NDC Treatment team post Communicating with Loved Ones What is “Helpful“ Quit and Abstinence Support.
What IS Support? How do we support each other? Because it's the concrete examples that help. An addict experiencing withdrawal can't think. Can barely function, in fact. So we fill that gap with actual THINGS that helped us. We point to past posts like 101 Things to Do Instead of Smoke , and No Mans Land Days 30 to 130 (approximate) , and Early Withdrawal Symptoms.
As far as "communicating with loved ones"...what concrete examples would you give the NDC Treatment team?
