You hurt. Most of the time. And you wish it would go away. But it's not. And you're having a hard time staying smoke free right about now. Because you think taking a hit on that cigarette will dull the pain a little. Or if not that, it will at least make you feel like you're getting SOMETHING pleasurable out of this pain filled life. It takes almost all your strength just to get through the day because of the pain. And now you've got the added struggle of fighting the craving to smoke. How much longer can you hang on?
You hang on until you get through a craving. You do whatever it takes. But you don't smoke. Smoking will NOT ease your pain. Smoking is not a pain management system. It is a poison that is killing you, slowly.
Stop. Think. Don't do it. Don't trip the trap.
OK - I AM in pain...every day of my life. Pain meds in the A.M. help some...wears off by about 3 in the afternoon. To help get some sleep at night, I take more. So, what's my point (other than Giulia has an uncanny sense of knowing what's going on) ???
I've been told I have COPD - and emphazema. The added pain of the pain in my lungs, and on my "lung points" on my back, has thrown me over the edge...one too many times !!
I'm smoke-free for only 4 days...and already I am coughing less, and absolutely no pain - ZERO - in my lungs. Pressure, yes - but no pain.
I will deal with the pain I live with - but I have choices today. And lung pain I refuse to deal with: I don't have to !!! I choose to be an EX...and I WILL succeed....because I am not alone anymore. I value my life far too much to throw it away on more puff !!!!
Hey: by golly; I think she's got it !!!! TY Giulia...you're a treasure !!!!!
