When I quit in the winter of 2013, someone recommended that I read a letter/document. I remember a name from it, "Carl". It focused on quitting cold turkey and the myth surrounding nicotine withdrawl-- primarily the myth is that it's much worse than the actual reality. That was THE thing that turned me around in the beginning. I don't know how to look for it on here. Does anyone know?
Hi and Welcome! Most around here recommend Alan Carr's Easy Way to Quit Smoking. That book does focus on quitting cold turkey and the book discusses that noone died from nicotine withdrawal. I highly recommend the book.
There is a PDF of it online, but I am not able to link to it for you.
I did do a search on Carl and nicotine withdrawal but didn't come up with some of the specifics you mentioned. There is an eye glass in the upper right hand side of the screen and it allows you to search on this site.
