OMG, he is adorable, and he'll chase your cat for a while; my Shih Tzu puppy did, and he is the sweetest thing ever! I've tried everything, make him sniff them, rubbed a towel on one and then the other, so their smells mix, whatever I could learn about how to make them get along. It still took a while for the puppy to stop chasing my 2 cats (and they are still the bosses, they turn 19 in March )
Congratulations, Duke looks good enough to eat, like chocolate!
susan.m OMG, I needed that, what a sweetheart...yes, we do need to see more baby pictures and to hear how Milo is accepting this new family member. I LOVE Cocker Spaniels and their sweet faces. Congratulations, sorry I missed the original post.
XOXO,
Ellen
Here's our precious Duke.... this was taken last week. c2q, thanks for the Duke of Earl ear worm! The breeder named him Piper (we don't know why, other than there was another male in the litter named Peter.... Pati, say that 3 times fast). We registered him as Piper Duke.
He is the best dog! I have always been a cat person and tolerated dogs. Until Duke, that is!
My poor husband said he's going to have to get another puppy, since Duke is clearly mine.
Poor thing...............I'm thinking he does't have NEARLY enough toys!
;-)
Such a shame; he is so adorable!
He is absolutely precious, wish I could reach through the screen and just snuggle with him. I LOVE puppies and would have a dog in a heart beat if I could walk it...I used to walk our dog every day in a cemetery in upstate NY, she LOVED it and so did I, those were the days when I could take a 2 hour walk, there were times when I wore HER out, LOL.
You are a beautiful family, so glad you take him to work with you. How about the other family members? Any discord?
Thanks for the picture.
Ellen
susan.m Milo is a cat, they are ALWAYS reserving judgment, hahahaha. I love it. I was feeding our feral cat in the basement tonight and decided to close the door a little earlier than usual. He started growling really loudly and I honestly was not sure if it was coming from him or some other animal. I know there have been a couple of cats hanging around and I know that he does not want them here. I fed him and went upstairs and tossed some food out for the "rock"...whatever gets there first, gets to eat it. It is basically the leftovers from the indoor cats and the feral cat and I prefer putting it outside for the other cat or a possum or a raccoon rather than flushing it. I went to the door and used the flashlight to see if anything was out there eating and there was a young skunk. I am really glad that I closed that basement door when I did and that the feral cat won't be tempted to teach the skunk a lesson. Last summer, I heard something on the front porch and I was about to open the door when I decided to turn on the light and look out the window next to the door...there was a VERY LARGE SKUNK
XOXO,
Ellen
How cute! For a second I thought you were having a baby! LOL.
