HA! Probably a good idea----

Well---I didn't EAT them, but I used cloves A LOT when I quit smoking.....here is what I did.....

Each night when I would sit down after dinner ---and what do we all do then? SMOKE! To keep my hands busy, I would push cloves into oranges. I would put a bowl in my lap and put and orange in and cloves and sit and stick them in the cloves. INSTANT "keeping your hands busy" technique!!! AND---bonus----when the orange is all covered, it make a GREAT pomander (scented ball) that you can put in a drawer or a closet or a chest. SMELLS GREAT.

I knew a gent who always had a small piece nestled in his teeth.  He said it helped him a lot".  He was smoke free for 5 yrs...
So, if it works great!  Also he had mentioned it freshened his breath".   Is it safe to eat idk?

I occasionally used them.  They do help.  I would slip a whole one under my tongue.  Don't bite it though!

It all depends on your taste buds.  Very strong spice for me to bite into.
