My Favorite Turkey Leftovers Recipe (A Repost) What's Yours?
I only like turkey once a year, on Thanksgiving. I have no leftover recipe although I sure am enjoying the leftover stuffing.
me too I have one more thanksgiving meal left. I made turkey tacos for dinner.
I'll have it for breakfast tomorrow and then make some banana pudding. I'm making Aunt Minnie's Cookies Monday.
All day project and they have to cure a month. (you need some strong arms or a mixer to mix this dough)
The clove is the secret ingredient in the recipe. They are hard to put down.
Last Year When I Made These, I Just Rolled out big flat pieces and laid them on a 9 x 13 baking sheet. (one big piece) I baked them for 22 minutes at 350 and I cut them as soon as they came out. If you don't, the slab will harden. You want pieces 3-4 inches long 1/2" thick and 1 1/4" wide. You are going to bury these in confectioners sugar while they are still hot so you need a big container and 4lbs of confectioners sugar. Check the taste after the first pan and make sure the spices are perceptible before you bake the whole batch.
Hmmmm, that sounds interesting. I have a recipe for cutout cookies that I love, I make them every year along with cream puffs using my mom's recipe. I am going to bed...too tired to even think.
Insomnia...I guess... so I thought I'd put my favorite leftover turkey recipe in the ring.
Used to be just a great plain old turkey sandwich...but for the past few years...I make sure to set aside enough turkey for this!!!
P.S. I personnally don't use the recommended amount of motz.
