Egg 2 should be here on the 22nd and hopefully we will have two babies hatching on Christmas
Wow...are there always two? I don't know anything about them but they certainly are magnificent creatures, So , they hatch about a month later? She keeps shaking her head, LOL.
I would say 90% of the time there are two eggs. I watch the Washington DC Arboretum on but since Florida is warmer, the cycle starts earlier. Last season, one of the pairs had one unviable egg and a nest in Tennessee had 3 but the biggest one ate the smallest. It's a cruel world but it goes with nature.

that's my favorite.
Here's a 5 minute review of last season that's fascinating.

The recap was awesome thank you. I will say it is a good thing I quit smoking now I can check up on the Eagles more often

Looks to be working again.
Normally the eggs hatch 35 days after the first one arrives. Two are the normal, one is uncommon and 3 is rare. The parents shake their heads to rid get the bugs/flies/gnats off them. It's warm in FL
Thanks jonescarp.aka.dale.Jan_2007 Will look into it.
Thanks. I never know if it's my computer or the site. :-)

This is absolutely amazing...I love babies and the fierce looks on their faces from the very beginning. Thanks for all of the information...both of you.
did you see the picture of them in the snow?

They are SO SUPPORTIVE of each other, it seems so incongruous to see them in the snow!
I follow Harriet and M15 from the SWFEC. You can find the live feed at Dick Pritchett Real Estate. Was completely addicted last year when E9 was born!
We have a pair of hometown Eagle's with a webcam of their own right here in Iowa. If you're interested in checking them out:

I always enjoy seeing what they bring home for lunch; maybe not so much anymore now that I have small puppies.
I DIN SEE NUFFIN
Those are some seriously impressive closeups...WOW! Look into the eye of an eagle!
yes. a couple of the nests have HD. it keeps the viewing interesting. the DC eagle cam is most interesting because there's usually someone running them except late at night.
