Should I get an @mention notification in inbox?

Hmmmmm, are we not allowed to @mention in discussions?  I didn't get this as an @mention...I got it because Nancy commented on MY discussion.  Mark‌????

Sure you are.  Were you looking for an email notification of @mention or an inbox notification? Remember you can turn off the email notification copy in Preferences.  If email is turned on then you should get two notifications. One for @mention and one for the discussion notification.  If email is turned off then  you will get only inbox notifications unless you have unfollowed this topic. In which case you should get only the @mention notification in the inbox.

Go to https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/inbox?filter=mentions   and look for it.  You can also then go to https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/inbox  and type in YoungAtHeart‌ in box and then search.  Should show all notifications from Nancy.  Make sure Unread is unchecked.

Please note that YoungAtHeart‌ didn't @mention you in https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/thread/16442-a-little-late-for-mark#comment-100868 so you wouldn't get an @mention. Only the thread notification.

Looks to me like it was MY fault because although I did YoungAtHeart‌ it did not highlight so I must not have selected it and just THOUGHT I did.  Go figure.  Thanks.

Ah yes your @mention of YoungAtHeart‌ failed in https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/thread/16442-a-little-late-for-mark .  It has to be blue text with the contact card icon before their username to be a valid @mention.  Sorry for the confusion. I thought you were saying that she had mentioned you and you didn't receive the correct notification.  Issue solved.
