My dad called it a dragon plant but I googled it but

couldn't find any that looked like it?

I should have a lead this afternoon if no one knows as I have a high school acquaintance who works at the San Diego Botanical Garden.  🙂

Twisted Sifter!  It only blooms once a year, and the blossom only lasts for 24 hours.  Fascinating!
