Any hope of ever getting our join dates corrected? Mine, for instance, is over 15 months after the fact.
Updated: The join Month/Year no longer shows on your My Quit Plan due to some updates on 10/17/17. However, you can see the rough date you joined the EX Community on your profile under the Member Since area. The rest of the information provided previously still applies provided it has not been striked out.
Your true join date is recorded. You can see it as Month/Year on My Quit Smoking Plan | A Program To Help You Stop Smoking: BecomeAnEX. The Join Date you see on the community is one of three different dates. If you joined before November 4th 2009 when the community was on Ning (2008-2009). People who were transferred from Ning seem to have a join date of November 4th 2009. I assume this is when the transition happened. Not sure if there was a limitation or just an oversight that wasn't considered. For people who joined after November 4th 2009 thru January 23rd 2017 and who participated on the community, their join date is whichever day they registered for BecomeAnEX as a community account was created right away. For people who joined after January 23rd 2017 or who never participated on the Elgg(2009-2017) community, their Join Date on the community will be the first day they logged in to the Jive(2017-) Community.
I've been aware of this for some time and hope to fix it at some point but it's not atop the priority list. There is also a "Member Since" field that needs to be fixed too but can't be overridden at this time. Hopefully it will be in the future and we can fix both fields for people who joined prior to November 4th 2009.

Giulia - where do you go to see the join date? I must be overlooking it - lol
Go to your profile, then click on Rewards then on the right side under Overall Progress, click on Community Leaderboard. You'll see the Rank, the Person, the Points, the Join Date. Mine says Nov. 4, 2009. But I joined in Aug of 2008 as I recall. Maybe that 2009 date is the date of the first platform change. I don't know. All I know is it's WRONG! And if you take as much pride in your quit date as many of us do - we want all parts of the journey to be correct. This site was formed in 2008. I want people to know that I've been here since the inception of this site. Nobody would care about that but me, of course. But it matters to me.
No different than how I feel about my quit date. I happened to get a copy of my recent achilles surgery and read through the whole thing. It included EVERYTHING. And I noticed that they had put down my quit smoking date as 2010. Not a big deal in the scheme of things, BUT it IS if you're the quitter. They took four years off of my quit date. Am I going to call and try to correct the "official record?" YES! Because those four years count in my life as a quitter and are important to me. Just as the date I joined this site is.
Thanks G - I found it!
Thank you, Mark. Appreciate the detailed response.

Sure thing. I like things tidy and sensical. Unfortunately I wasn't around back then. Good thing is we've corrected several things that we were able to during the move but this was not one of them. Possibly in the future we can take care of it.
