When I am in a mood, I need music. Friends and EX family, I am in a mood today.
This is the last day of the EX Cafe. Will it be back? My crystal ball is out for repairs; I don't know what the future will bring. Some think it will.
So what went wrong?
Pati, you did nothing wrong with the cafe, and neither did the people that helped you. The moderation of the cafe today is a huge disappointment.

It's posted now. It's nothing I did. The automatic spam detection is being a little over zealous for some reason. I'm having a Jive engineer look into it.

Thanks Jennifer_Quit_05-01-14. I appreciate it. And I appreciate all that you do on this site, like conducting the Freedom Train Freedom Train 4-19-17. It's a great site resource we can go to every day to celebrate our quits.
The EX Cafe is an awesome idea. Thank you to all the Baristas and c2q for what you did. While the doors are closing today I am doubting that they will be closed for good. I believe the doors will open again and the EX Team will be here in support of that. We'll continue to improve the site and smooth the wrinkles that have emerged recently that have introduced challenges to your EX Traditions Celebrations and Events.

OMG! I really am old you know...I remember watching this live when it first aired....you talk about funny!!! Life was so different back then, than now...nobody took things too seriously. Everything had a way of working itself out. Every once in awhile, you would see a fist fight break out in the parking lot, or a hair pulling contest between the girls...but for the most part, life was simple enough.

I just got back from the rheumatologist with no magic bullet -
spent an
entire morning with no sure result. Have to go for an MRI which I can't
get until the 28th - and then my next apt. with the doctor not until 5/3.
I am beyond tired of this.

I know how much you were looking forward to some relief...sorry Nancy...those f*%$kers anyway...I mean don't they know who they are messing with? ok,ok,ok....let's calm down,...it will all work itself out...like they used to chant over the airwaves in Los Angeles during rush hour traffic, (when you had to travel 30 miles, and were gridlocked on the freeways....). The djs on am radio 640 would tell us all, okay everyone...take in a deep breath...no on the count of three, all of us are going to chant out EGBOK.....EGBOK...EGBOK...that always seemed to take some of the edge off. The acronym was "Everything's Gonna Be O.K." I was actually mailed my own coffee mug with an egbok logo on it...
Anyway, as you can see...we have been busy all day long...doing it up and having a party....I brought in some pretty good peanut butter cheesecake earlier....you gotta get you some of that....

Thank all of you for running the cafe...in honor of the last day, I will have a vanilla latte with an extra shot of expresso and I am having a hard time deciding between a blueberry scone and a cinnamon roll...decisions, decisions. It's like when I work my son and daughter in law's cafe and people want half a sandwich of one thing and the other half of something else...sorry, we don't do that. I think I will go for the blueberry scone since I have not had a scone in a while. Love to all of you!

Hi Ellen! Nobody can copy and paste susan.m with the @mention menu at the moment. Mark said somewhere that it has to do with the underscore in the name. Pretty easy work around is to go up to where she has posted, right click on her name and copy the link to her.

Good morning sorry I'm late but it's been a sluggish morning I fixed a energy drink now I'm almost halfway human again. Not sure what's going on there I went to bed early and sleep really good I guess it's just one of those days. I'm very happy to join you guys at the cafe today I often read but hardly ever comment thank you for the great vibes sent through this awesome cafe! I'll sit on the patio with you guys maybe some sun will remove this heaviness from my eyes lol I was reading the Virginia beach blog and kinda got a little heartbroken because I couldn't join I just simply can't afford it with the kids and a fixed income but I know there will be plenty of pictures and I'll be looking out and smiling with you guys from Mississippi! TerrieQuit put that thing outside and come join your friends and family here don't treat yourself like an outcast girl you are more than welcome!

Well Loves, I've had all the good cheer I can handle today. Thanks, everyone for a great last day at the cafe. We will be open till the wee hours today, and then no more.
This barista is in need of a respite. I've been here 7 hours straight.
When the stars align, there are more people able to man the counters, the aliens are done invading, somebody gets my coffee/dark coffee memes ... perhaps we will be back.
In the meantime, there are many resources here at becomeanex to help us maintain our quits. Pick one. Pick two. I'm sure one will fit.

I'll take anything to explore me focused, working on us get for next year already...so I've cranked up my classic rock station, jammin to Jimmy page and Robert Plant.
Break is OVER....time to hit the debits and credits, and hopefully come up with a convincing budget, always goes up.

You have NO idea how many memories that one brought to my lucid cerebral anatomy! I think that was one of my first albums I purchased. My beautiful Lawrence Welk loving mother just bout had a stroke when she heard that song blaring from my bedroom...she thought for SURE I was on every drug a 'hippie' could be on, and would be going hell in a hand basket! The generation gap was certainly in full force in my house! It was my younger Donny Osmond loving sister she had to worry about..lmao, thanks for a super psychodelic memory!!!
My mom bought a stereo for my bedroom. I think she really got tired of listening tp Led Zeppelin 1&2 on her Hi Fi in the Livingroom (:
