My daughter had a huge crisis in her life tonight. She lost her job. We were at her uncle's house talking out the situation. Needless to say there was a lot of stress and upset. For me as well. It is never easy when a child, even an adult one, is in distress. She pulled out her cigarettes and said I need a smoke and stepped outside. Boy did I want to follow her. But I didn't. I just told myself it wouldn't make the situation better. And let it pass. Yay me!! Yes. Still want one. No it ain't happenin. Still staying strong.
Out of the blue a stressful situation triggers an old reaction to stress. Staying quit is a constant choice. No matter what comes up. I'm still choosing freedom. N>O>P>E even walking through NML.
