Wow I can't believe it ihas been 400 days already. Some days seemed to drag on forever, some days wasn't sure if I was going to pull out a win, then some days were great and flew by without a thought or stuggle for a cigarette. I have to say not only am I celebrating 400 days I also am celebrating my 22nd anniversary. We decided to drive to Springfield Illinois to get away and celebrate. The trip was about 3 1/2 hour drive and boy oh boy how great the traveling was without one thought of smoking, without worrying about when I could get my next fix, and not having to make excuses why I needed to stop. How great it was to feel relaxed and calm during the ride. In the beginning of my quit it truthfully it wasn't easy peasy, but I stayed the course, stayed determined, kept my commitment NO MATTER WHAT!! and kept NOPE!!!! in my quit tool box. To the newbies stay strong, keep your commitment. Remember life still happens and some times you have to dig deep to remember NO MATTER WHAT! and NOPE!! It does get easier with time, you just have to be patient with yourselves and allow time to grow and learn life without a cigarette and know it is possible and DOABLE as Jackie and Marilyn says. Thank you to all who celebrated with me today on the train. I am so thankful to have a wonderful loving EX family.
