This week is going to be weird.
Due to the current COVID situation in my neck of the woods, my department at work has made the decision that we are going to telecommute 100% of the time until further notice. Starting tomorrow. I've never telecommuted more than an afternoon before. And while it isn't secret per se... they don't want our customer departments to know. Weird.
Staying home makes sense for us. People who work in the same building have come up positive. We can remote in to our computers from anywhere. Not really sure why I have to keep it secret. All our meetings right now are either video or conference calls. They'll either see my kitchen or hear my dogs. Boom, secret ruined. But whatever.
Some nice bonuses:
My commute time is going to be so much shorter.
Business casual up top, pj's on bottom.
It will force me away from the majority of my smoking routines and triggers.
Looking forward to the change of pace, and comfortable pants.
