A friend saw Marks post on 7-3 celebrations and sent me a note.
I've reached the point that I celebrate in 500 day increments.
So, what about when you've lost count?
I believe counting the days quit is a good form of accountability and self-reenforcement in the beginning and until you are comfortable. I also believe self talk further protects you.
The thing about counting is, many quitters stop counting right before they smoke.
Why? Because they've already decided they aren't going to stick with their quit.
The other side of losing count is when you're at peace.
Keep counting until you're on the other side
