What has helped me

I am an early riser.  I appreciate my time early in the morning.  I think, plan ahead, contemplate my life, purpose, and what I still have to accomplish.  I find I am most productive in the morning.  In order to keep busy so that I don't think about lighting one up, and I'm supposed to stay home because of Covid-19, I have decided to thoroughly clean my house of all traces of stinky smoke.  I painted for 6 days - kitchen, living room, hallway & bathroom.  That helps to reinforce NO SMOKING.  I have cleaned and polished all furniture, washed windows, cooked for me and my dog (who, by the way doesn't cough nearly as much as before).  Weather permitting, I have started my gardening.  Will be replacing my pond liner.  Have started my flower seeds.  For me, I have to keep busy to keep my mind off of smoking.  It has been approx 48 days since I quit.  With each and every day, it has been getting easier.  I wish I had never started, I hope this will give you some encouragement to just keep going forward.  I realize that what helps me isn't for everyone.  Some how we all have to, at some point, make up our minds and stick to our plan.  I am convinced that we can all accomplish our dreams.  God Bless all of you and this wonderful website.
