I haven't seen any yet other than looking on line...I must be watching the wrong channels or at the wrong time. I really hope that it reaches younger people, I agree that it would not have made any difference to me once I was already addicted. I used to turn away from the TV when the nasty ads were on...showing what happened to people who did not quit. It's not like I didn't already know, firsthand but I didn't want to see it.
It's (finally) the court-mandated truth campaign by Big Tobacco. The decree was something like 14 years ago, and they fought it in the courts until they had nothing else to do but move forward with it.
I don't think it will have an impact on current smokers, but hope it will make young folks think twice before they start. Problem with youth is that they believe they are immune, and will be able to quit "anytime they want." I hope at least the message that cigarettes are addictive will get through to them.
