20 days smoke free

It has been 20 days since I had my last cigarette.  No big deal.

Or...

Really BIG deal!

It depends where are, and what you have gone through to get there.

For  me, in this quit, I am not focusing as much on the numbers.  As many of you know, I have been here quite a while, and have struggled after losing my BIG quit.

But I did not give up, and that is what is important.

Some things I tried failed.  Other things worked for a bit.  I keep trying, kept failing.

And I kept coming here, often saying nothing, often just reading, and silently praising the elders who were bringing along the newbies.

But yes, I feel the urges, the temptations, but they pass.  I still only sleep about 4 hours a night, and that is okay too.  Weight gain, chewing gum, being mean and grumpy, sometimes feeling completely lost.....all of that is okay.  I will get through it all.

And so will you.

Together, this will be our final quit!

Greg

I am 64 now. Living, breathing, keeping busy, but yet...failing. It is time to stop failing, at least when it comes to quitting smoking.
