Day 5

So, my last cigarette was last Thursday at 11 PM.  So far, have not had a ton of physical withdrawal.  Have been through worse.  The temptations are there, but not all the time.  It is when the old routine would dictate a time to take a break and walk outside.

For me, am working on getting that structure in a nonsmoking life.  I still go outside, take some deep breathes, and then come in.  But that is something I am still working on.

I feel the urges, like now, but can dismiss them.  At least at this point.

I need to make sure I do not get to cocky, be sure of my quit, but be prepared if a monster urge comes along.

On to day 5, thanks again to everyone.

I am 64 now. Living, breathing, keeping busy, but yet...failing. It is time to stop failing, at least when it comes to quitting smoking.
