elvan's Status Update on 02/28/2017

shashort  Anyone can join in here and comment...I can't remember who showed me that first but it might have been Jennifer-Quit or crazymama_Lori , they can join in and so can anyone else who wishes to.  This site has many options and that is a GOOD thing.., once we learn which ones we like.

if you @ them, they will come.  If you don't, then it's just by happenstance that they will view your status update.  only drawback of it.

Hi everyone - That is the one thing about the Status Updates that I don't get - how do people know about it?  I think sometimes it shows up on "My Ex Feed".  I am at work - and can't stay long - but hope everyone has a good day!

I think it shows up in my in box whether I have been @'ed or not because I really don't use the feed much.

@jennifer_quit_05-01-14 They appear in the "Recent  Activity" widget on the home page that shows Discussions Questions and  Status Updates from across the site.  So watch in there.  If you follow someone then it should appear in My EX Feed as well.  Certainly if you're mentioned in a Status Update you can find it there as well.  If you would like to post a Message Board like post for someone as you did on the previous community. Start with a mention of that person and then put a message like you would have before. You can include a link and a picture. Only limitation is that you need to keep  it to 420 characters.  Should be easy.  Posts on Message Boards were really only supposed to be short notes anyway.

I tested it out just now and found it under my pencil symbol. I don't understand using the @ to function like a message board but I'll bet some of us already know and the rest of us will catch up with time.

Thomas3.20.2010  I don't think you have to do the @mention thing - but if you want a specific person to be notified of your posting, it would be helpful.
