Still Quit

January 2nd marked my 3rd year without cigarettes. I have to say for the first year this support group was my life line. Since I quit I've finished dental hygiene school and I am now starting my first hygiene job. Thank you to everyone who supported me, listened to me whine and gave me sound advice. And while I not longer need to use this support group nearly as much as I did in the beginning, I have to say it literally saved my life. When I started my quit I couldn't even laugh without coughing. It was scary. If you are new to this please please don't give up. Ask for help. Bitch and moan when you need to. Listen to others stories and write your own. It helps. And if you fall off the wagon get back up on it. If I can do it so can you.

I worked as a veterinary nurse for 10 years as an anesthesia/dental prophy tech. I recently left that job to pursue a career in dental hygiene for humans. I started smoking when I was 13 and have made many many attempts to quit. Married no kids and 1 dog.
