As I was drinking my morning coffee, my husband and I were talking about the snow that was falling. I asked him how much we were expecting and he replied about 1 foot. I said OK, he then said I forbid you to go out today. I sat there for a few minutes and replied that I had no intention of leaving the house, and that I would have preferred if he had said something to the effect of Honey, I really wish you wouldn't go out today the weather is really bad. I told him that we need to work on our communication skills and that I would appreciate it if he didn't sound so controlling. I said that I would attempt to clarify his points before I flew off the handle. A work in progress I hope
