Yesterday went well. I had a few cravings at trigger times, but was able to stay strong. It was the only thing that I could think of on the way home from work, so I popped in a pod cast to keep my mind occupied and it worked well.
Feeling really good today, although I did not sleep last night. I remember when I quit a few months ago that sleeping was the most difficult. I don't know what it does to mess up our sleep but it's horrible just to lay there all night long just on the verge of falling into a sleep, but your body just will not allow it. I might take a nice long bath in detox Epson salt tonight to help sleep, I remember it did help before. That's about the only thing that did help. I tried melatonin, chamomile and other herbs before to help sleep and none of that worked.
I workout almost daily each morning, typically cardio, but also lift. I also started at the beginning of October walking during my breaks instead of smoking, getting about 10,000 steps in a day. That is, when the weather is nice(not looking forward to winter). Also have been keto/carnivore for well over a year and have never felt better in my life! Kicking this addiction was the last step to help my body really heal and repair its self. Since I was 21 I have had high blood pressure (160/120) and within the last 10 years been diagnosed with PCOS and hypothyroidism.
I have done a lot of research and read Alan Carr's book. If I find something interesting, I research the hell out of it and devise a plan to get it done. That's just the crazy research part of me. I know what I have to do and need to do to be smoke free for the rest of my life. I just need to stay to course!
