Wahoo!!! Made it smoke free for 7 days. I’ve done this twice before, 14 years ago for a year and 2 years ago for 16 days.
I ‘m allowing myself grace but also know the hard part is not over. I’ve got to be focused and work through the cravings. I have also made sure to avoid smokers, cleaned my car, got rid of lighters and used boundaries.
My biggest “regret” is that I started smoking again after my daughter was 6 months old. Over the past 2 years, I’d say I’m the only smoker she has contact with on a daily basis so why am I slowly hurting her health due to my selfishness. Again, can’t look back at the past and beat myself up for things that can’t be changed, just got to keep going and make things better for today and the future.
