I thought I was clever smoking on the patio where nobody within 10 feet could inhale the deadly smoke.When I opened the door to come in the house or just the fact that it could seep through vents, the second had smoke was inside. The fact that I never washed my hands before touching them rubbing nicotine on their coats or feathers was harmful and poisonous to my birds. How they survived so long I have no idea.
