A Beautiful Day and a Quitters Statement

Hey Everyone!

Today is such a beautiful day out, I'm here in Ypsilanti, MI (right next to Ann Arbor) and I have been keeping myself pretty busy today.  I had to do some painting of a few walls, clean up some stuff, and sort through a few things.  I find when I keep myself busy, I am a lot less likely to think about cigarettes or my lozenges.  I have been attempting to replace some of my daily lozenges with jolly ranchers, and that seems to be working some of the time.  I started back to work last week, I work at a school district, and super happy they are going virtual.  Then I got an email from my soon to be instructor for one of my college classes.  I realized that there is a lot that is about to start happening soon, I started back to work, then school kicks up, one class at first, but then a second comes on 3 weeks later.  I know that not smoking is going to provide me with more time to sit at the computer and do my work, which I am super happy about, but at the same time I have a feeling I'm going to be sitting at my desk for way too many hours.  Smoking used to give me a reason to get up, now i'm going to have to come up with a plan to get some movement in between chair hours.  Either way, I'm super excited that I'm going to have some stuff to do, I just hope I don't get overwhelmed.  That's my post for the day, I hope all of you are staying strong, and having a great day!  I'll be back to post again tomorrow.

I work at an elementary school helping kids with learning disabilities. I worked in the technology industry for 8 years, and finishing up college to go back into that field, with a degree this time. I've had previous substance abuse issues, but have been clean from that for 3 years now, and working hard everyday to stay away from cigarettes.
