7 Days, yaay!  Just one week and it feels like a month; yesterday was a challenge and I managed to breathe through it and talked it through with my quit buddy. I am very grateful to have found this site; the support here is super especially as I am on my own and do not want to share with my family yet. I'm smiling because I feel great despite challenging moments.

About the Author
I am a transplant from England and came to California in 1973; became a citizen in 1985. I have promised myself I would be a happy non-smoker by my 70th birthday or sooner - April is getting close! I started smoking at age 15 and like many others have tried to stop several times. This time I have a very different attitude and I am looking at this as a positive move to regaining my freedom as opposed to losing something by giving it up.
