Raised by great parents who were tobacco farmers. Guess my teenage rebellion was to become a smoker. Lol. Smoked off and on for over 30 years (mostly on). Quit several times over the years. Quit in 2012 and it stuck for over 5 years until in 2017, my Mom was in hospice and family (who smoked) hung around for support. My nerves were shot as you can imagine and I smoked a few to get me through those days. Or so I thought. My Mom passed on 10/20/17 and I totally lost myself. Even though she had been sick for years and I thought I was ready to see her finally at peace, I wasn't. But I promised her I would quit again and it has taken me 3 years. I am committed to not picking up another cigarette ever. I have several health conditions the demand I quit, plus I have 3 great daughters, a step son and 3 of the best granddaughters anyone could ever ask for. I want to see as much of their lives unfold as I possibly can, and be there for them. And myself.
