Scale Fail

Oh my goodness-- I may have to stop weighing myself. While I wholeheartedly admit to eating more junk than usual since my quit date, my mind is blown at what my scale told me this morning! I am up about 10 pounds!!!

I am a pro at weight loss. I hope if I get serious about food choices and quantities, I can turn this around. I read that metabolism can slow down after quitting, but I wasn't prepared for this many pounds! I'm not going back to smoking so my body is just going to have to adjust.

I am a mom, a teacher AND a fitness instructor. It blows my mind that I used to smoke. It made me feel like a total and complete phony. I run and bike frequently. I am working on my swim. My speed and endurance are improving, but more importantly, I now feel truly connected to the world I'm part of and no longer pushing away.
