I made it to Day 30 and Yesterday was a true test of the quit.  It started with a two hour visit to the DMV to renew my license in which the line started in the cold.  I live in suburbs of Chicago.  Two hours later I walked out and went home.  I was on edge.  Had an argument with my husband and parents all within an hour of leaving the DMV.  Laid down I was so tired for some reason had some tea and was off to take my daughter into the hospital for an outpatient procedure.  That went well and two hours later we left the hospital to get something to eat and take her home.  Boy was I shocked at how much it snowed considering it wasn’t suppose to start yet like two hours later.  I get very nervous driving in the snow and it was really bad out.  I immediately started getting so nervous like shaking.  So we made it to the fast food place and then back to her apartment.  I live about 20 minutes from her and of course I needed gas so I had to stop  on the way home.  I was still shaking the roads were awful the traffic as well.  And I thought I can screw this whole quit thing buy a pack of cigarettes at the gas station when I fill up.  Boy wouldn’t it be nice to smoke all the way home it sure would calm my nerves!  Ahhhh.  But I didn’t!! I cried and called my friend and made it home two hours later!

I went out to dinner last night and it was -25 below with the windchill!  I saw a man as I got into my car to leave shivering smoking a cigarette.  Poooor thing!
