Good Morning, Everyone
I haven’t posted for a while. I am still grieving because of my younger brother’s passing on July 3, 2020. I wanted so much to help him with a stem cell transplant, but he chose not to go ahead with the procedure. He had MDS (a form of cancer with origin unknown), and at 69 he was suffering because of all the chemical he used during his career as a Golf Course Manager. He had protective equipment to use, but it was “too hot” as he told me many times... The only thing that gives me peace now, is that he is no longer suffering! Every time he ate (in an Assisted Living Facility in Mexico), he said it was “like taking poison” and he would literally pass out for hours after a meal...
I no longer need to “light up” to “survive”! I am smoke free and feeling complete without smoking!
I am writing this, to give everyone hope! If I can stay smoke free, you can too! It just takes some time, effort, and an attitude that we can do this! I smoked for over 50 years, and if I can quit, you can too! Just take it one day at a time, and you will win! Attitude is everything! There is N E V E R a good reason to light up! And I am living proof!
I wish all of you a very happy and smoke free Monday, and let’s all keep our beautiful and precious quits, ok? Rosemary
