Flying was scary this time

Hi all, sorry I stepped out on communicating but holidays with family seem to pull you away from cyberspace, sometimes good...sometimes not. I didn’t smoke but did have a couple of drinks and had some phantom smoke smells...yikes...but remembered the whole copd thing and kept my cravings in check. Speaking of the copd thing anyone else with this SMOKING related disease have issues flying? I was SOB and felt chest pain on descent...little scary, from cabin pressure changes?...anyhow I’m home and will be here more often...any smokers just reading, smoking can cause COPD and it SUCKS!!!! Save your self and stop now.

Started smoking to be cool and that was was 46 years ago with a break for boot camp and two pregnancies. Figured one cigarette with a cocktail wouldn’t hurt and now I’m diagnosed with emphysema, huh that didn’t work out as planned...you would think working in a hospital and watching your mother die of lung cancer would motivate me but apparently I’m a slow learner. Scared to quit but I know my life depends on it.
