Not an urge to smoke but the reality of what those killer sticks have done to me. Spoke to my 73 year old aunt who is in stage 4 of COPD and listened to her journey from being a little winded in 2013 and diagnosed with mild COPD to being at stage 4 and can’t walk more than a few steps and on oxygen JUST 6 years later....granted she was diagnosed and smoked 9 years longer than me at my age...it’s still a hard reality to swallow...please stop smoking if you haven’t already...I’m starting my journey at moderate (stage 2) COPD and stopped those killer sticks for good...22 DOF

Started smoking to be cool and that was was 46 years ago with a break for boot camp and two pregnancies. Figured one cigarette with a cocktail wouldn’t hurt and now I’m diagnosed with emphysema, huh that didn’t work out as planned...you would think working in a hospital and watching your mother die of lung cancer would motivate me but apparently I’m a slow learner. Scared to quit but I know my life depends on it.
