Zingers in my head, COPD or withdraw?

for the past few days I have had shooting pains that come and go in my head...in different areas...I am wondering if it’s the brain ridding itself of the nicotine or a product of the COPD? Waiting on a referral to see a pulmonologist but just wondering if anyone out there has had this issue....thanks, everyone have a wonderful non-smoking day

Started smoking to be cool and that was was 46 years ago with a break for boot camp and two pregnancies. Figured one cigarette with a cocktail wouldn’t hurt and now I’m diagnosed with emphysema, huh that didn’t work out as planned...you would think working in a hospital and watching your mother die of lung cancer would motivate me but apparently I’m a slow learner. Scared to quit but I know my life depends on it.
