Share your quitting journey
Good morning EXers!
Just thought I'd share something with you this morning....I woke early this morning, and found myself sort of anxious to get the day started, so I got up, put on some coffee & headed out to the garage to find a specialty tool that I had misplaced awhile back for a project that I am doing later today.
Sometimes I misplace tools in the bottom of my saddlebags on the Harley...so I dug into the my bags, and what did I see in the bottom of my bag? A brand new pack of Marlboro Reds that I forgot about. I used to call that one of my emergency stash points, in the event that I ever came up not having smokes, I could always go to my saddlebag and find an emergency fix...
So I must be doing something right. I'm 15 days and 9 hours into my quit, and I immediately thought to myself..."I wonder if I should take a selfie of me flushing these down the toilet or not?" lol...I decided to spare you the visual of my toilet, but I did come back inside and immediately opened them, and ceremoniously counted them out loud as I tossed each one into the water. Then I bid them farewell as I flushed them all down and watched them just circle on away from my new lifestyle...
I'm pretty darn proud of that moment, and just wanted to share it with you.....
btw, I didn't find my tool that I was looking for, but I really think I found something much more valuable than that. Another successful day won!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!
Pops with 15 DOF!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!
Enjoy your weekend.....
