I got the results of my latest blood tests yesterday.
Everything seems to be holding steady.
However, family history seems to be catching up to me again.
Heart problems took my Mother and my Brother at younger ages. Both passed in their 50's.
My brother developed insulin-dependant Diabetes in his 20's. My Mother's blood sugar was over 500 when she passed away.
I have been plagued with low blood sugar since I was 28.
My brother did this before he slipped into Diabetes. Doctors termed it Pancreatic Burnout.
A little over a month ago I began having blood sugar spikes. My fasting sugar level began hitting 124, 128. and even 133.
My latest tests by the doctor says my A1C is 5.8. This is a good result. My blood glucose at the same time was 99. Barely in normal range according to the standards posted for this test.
I will now be taking a fasting sugar each morning.
Will I light up over these results?
NOPE!
I learned that the hard way. Some of my medical problems can be tracked to my smoking for all those years.
I will continue watching my test results, following my doctors instructions, and going to any tests and procedures that are deemed needed.
One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.
